Genuine US Military issue
Circa. 1960s
100% cotton sateen fabric
The final iteration of the TAP 47 lineage. Earlier versions were worn during the French Indochina War (1946-1954), and enough of them made it over there for the Vietnamese to copy and adapt the design, turning it into the ubiquitous Tigerstripe camo we all know and love. Huge pockets, lots of zips and adjustment options. A wicked piece.
Components of the 47/56 uniform were worn occasionally by Vietnamese and American forces during the Vietnam War. While seldom seen compared to the earlier models, a few photos have surfaced showing them in use. Some South Vietnamese officers went to France in the 1960s for education and staff training, and it is speculated that some 47/56 pieces were acquired, then brought back to Vietnam while the conflict was ongoing.
New, old stock in mint condition - Never worn.
Flat garment measurements (inches):All of our products are meticulously researched & inspected, precisely measured and carefully washed & pressed.
