The Story
Circa 1960s
Displays originally applied insignia, including name and US Army branch tapes, full colour Lieutenant collar rank, Infantry collar branch patch, a lovely, early teal Special Forces SSI with black Airborne tab, and early full-colour jump wings. Pinching on the reverse of the patches indicates they are originally applied. Named under the collar.
An early 1st pattern (P58) utility shirt with squared pockets and green dish buttons. Made from a soft, midweight 100% cotton selvedge sateen with a full-length button front closure and two chest pockets. Early contracts were stamped under the collar; on later examples, a contract label was affixed to the inside-lower closure flap.
Length: 29"
Arm: 24"
